Exadata - Oracle DB SQL taking more than 10 seconds

Issue #:

Could you please check DB AWR report for 15th and 16th JAN.

We have observed around 771 Technical exceptions because search query taking more than 10 sec in DB.

When we tried same requests its giving response within 1 sec,

 Analysis:

1.       I don’t see given query in AWR report 16th Jan from 10am to 11am.

2.       Below highlighted event seen before. But till now did not get any response from core DBA team. Because DB also come under same Exadata cluster.


    3. job was running longer duration between 10am to 11am on table.


4.       given query using same condition twice, can you check with developing team why given query using same condition twice?

5.       Given query is doing full table scan on table and 50% cost spent on this table. Can you check with developing team if they created any index to be used for this query otherwise we can plan for new index creation.

Solution:

We created new index and SQL took less than 1 second.

Tried to install Oracle 12c 2-node RAC for testing purpose but due to low Hardware configuration, ended up with Single Node RAC. I got lot of issues during Installation and tried to resolve them with my best knowledge. Please find below installation steps and troubleshooting.
